Our Story

Hello & Welcome! We are Libby and Zak Bound, a Falkland Islands-based couple with a deep passion for our incredible islands and their fascinating historical polar history. Zak is particularly connected to this rich heritage as the son of Mensun Bound, a renowned marine archaeologist born in the Falkland Islands. Mensun made history in 2022 when he was tasked with finding Sir Ernest Shackleton's legendary ship, Endurance, in the Weddell Sea, an achievement that has captivated a worldwide audience, adding another remarkable chapter to the region's storied past.

Through our tourism business, we share this love with visitors, offering immersive tour experiences that give prominence to both the natural beauty of the Falklands and the remarkable history of the polar explorers who ventured to these shores, whilst offering the opportunity for our guests to encounter intimate wildlife. Our goal is to provide an authentic, personal journey that reveals the heart and soul of the Falkland Islands, enriched by Zak and Libby’s unique connection to the islands' history and their family's extraordinary legacy in marine archaeology.
